July Book Haul

July book haul blog header

We’re now several days into August, so I thought now would be a good time to finally post my July book haul! I was originally going to post this last weekend, but then I ended up ordering a DSLR camera and I wanted to wait until it arrived so I could try taking some nice pictures of the books I got for this post. I decided to just take the one picture like usual, but you might notice it’s MUCH better quality than the crappy pictures I usually take on my phone, haha. I’m really looking forward to teaching myself photography on my new camera – hopefully, this means you all will see some nice pictures in my posts in the future! πŸ™‚

Physical Books

July 2017 book haul

  1. The Third Twin by C.J. Omololu
  2. Mirror Me by Tara St. Pierre
  3. Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs
  4. Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys

I had a much lighter physical book haul than usual during July! The bottom two books, Salt to the Sea and Library of Souls, were books I ended up snagging at an outlet store for only a few dollars each. I’ve already read Salt to the Sea, but wanted to have my own copy. And even though I originally wanted to have a paperback copy of Library of Souls, the hardcover was so cheap I couldn’t resist grabbing it. Mirror Me was kindly sent to me by the author and The Third Twin was kind of a random buy when I ended up at Barnes & Noble.

eBooks

  1. Before the Raging Lion by Everly Frost
  2. Fortitude Smashed by Taylor Brooke
  3. Starfish by Akemi Dawn Bowman
  4. Aaru by David Meredith
  5. Secondborn by Amy A. Bartol
  6. The Last Librarian by Brandt Legg
  7. The Edge of Juniper by Lora Richardson
  8. Traitor’s Masque by Kenley Davidson
  9. Pink Slips by Beth Aldrich

The first four books listed here are all review copies I received. I’m super behind on my review copies right now, so fingers crossed I get to all of these within a reasonable time. The others are freebies I got on my Kindle. Most of you probably know that I already read and loved The Edge of Juniper, but now I have an official Kindle copy (so fancy, I know), rather than just the digital file that was sent to me to review.

My book haul is still quite large this month, but it’s a lot more reasonable than usual! Yay me! Maybe I’m finally learning not to go overboard on buying books… (Who am I kidding? This is a fluke.)

What books did you get in July? Have you read any of these?

    • I’m so excited! I’ve been wanting to teach myself photography for years but have always been too intimidated to try. But I found a pretty great camera bundle with an intermediate camera so I can still rely on the point and shoot options while I learn, haha.

  1. Oh great haul for this month Kourtni, and even if you didn’t get as many physical books as you normally do it seems like you really made up for it when it came to eBooks.
I’m a little behind on my review copies as well. Well I say a little behind, I just have a lot to get through so I feel like I may be a lot behind very soon.
The only one of these I’ve read myself is Library of Souls, but I hope you enjoy everything in this haul, and hopefully you’ll have plenty more books to show for August! πŸ˜€ ❀
