Teaser Tuesday (7/4/17)

teaser tuesday blog header 7-4-17

Hello, everyone! To all of my fellow Americans, Happy Independence Day! I hope everyone’s doing something fun for the day. My family and I are headed out for a day trip to Old Sturbridge Village which I’m sure will be very fun. We went there several years ago and had a blast so I’m really looking forward to going again. Anyway, let’s get into today’s Teaser Tuesday post!

I tend to participate much more frequently in Top Ten Tuesday now just because I think they’re more interesting to read/write, but TTT is taking a short break until next month. I think I’ll be using the rest of this month to do some past topics that I never did, but for today, I’m going to share a teaser from The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell which releases in a couple of weeks.

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Purple Booker. Everyone is welcome to join in.

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers! Everyone loves Teaser Tuesday.

The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell book coverLike I said, I’ll be sharing a teaser from The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell. I’m not as far as I’d like to be in this, but I’m hoping to spend some time reading it over the next couple of days. So far, I’m enjoying this quite a bit, although I’ll admit the time jumps take some getting used to.

“She should have been irritated that he’d reverted to his usual pain-in-the-ass demeanor so quickly, but Esta was almost too relieved to care. It meant his injury probably wasn’t killing him. Yet.”
