Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly themed post hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. Each week features a different theme/prompt for which you come up with a list of 10 books/ideas. This week’s prompt is top ten series I’ve been meaning to start but haven’t. I’m sure many of you know that I can easily come up with a much longer list for this. I’m the queen of buying books or adding them to my TBR and then taking forever to get to them. So there are a lot of series that have piled up over the years that I still haven’t gotten around to. Today I’m sticking to talking about books that have at least 2 books out already and that I’ve added to my TBR somewhat recently since I’ve done some posts like this in the past and want to try and avoid repeating series that were included in those. Let’s get to my list, shall we?
All the links will take you to the Goodreads page for the first book in the series!
I’ve seen a lot about this series on Twitter and actually follow the author on there as well. So far there are two installments in this series (and I have both) and I believe these are novellas, so they should be quick reads. I’ve heard such great things about this series, so I’m really looking forward to reading it, especially since I’ve been wanting to read more new adult and there’s great pansexual rep in the first novella (or so I’ve heard).
This is another series that I’ve heard a lot about. Ever since reading A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray a few years ago, I’ve been absolutely in love with sci-fi that features alternate universes so that’s probably the main reason this series made it onto my TBR. Luckily, I think my library has all the books in this series that have been released so far so I can take them out sometime. 🙂
I honestly have no idea where I first heard about this, but I’ve barely seen anything about this series which is a shame because it’s a series of LGBTQIAP romances which is awesome. There are four books out right now and so far, each book alternates with the first and third having m/m romances and the second and fourth having f/f romances. I’m not sure if that’ll continue but either way, I think it’ll be a nice mix while I’m reading the series. 🙂
I think I first discovered this series by reading through some WWW Wednesday posts and I have to say, I really really hope I’ll get a chance to read it pretty soon. I love time travel stories so much and I’ve heard really good things about this series. I want to start reading more books that aren’t YA, so this being an adult sci-fi series is a big plus.
I’ll 100% admit that this is on my TBR just due to how popular the series is. I don’t even know that much about it, haha. Judging off the blurb, it sounds interesting, though. If I’m being honest, I probably won’t get to this too soon considering that I don’t have any of the books and according to Goodreads, the books are pretty long which always intimidates me, haha. I’d still like to read the series one day, though!
I love historical fantasies so when I heard about this series, it went on my TBR really fast. I haven’t heard too much about this series, but I don’t mind. It just means I have to check it out for myself 😉
I met Beth Revis back in September and then a few months later ended up finding Across the Universe at my local thrift store so I eagerly picked it up. I still haven’t read it (no surprise there), but I’ve heard good things about the series and I’m looking forward to reading it. (Can we also take a minute to appreciate how lovely that cover is??)
This is another new adult series with a lot LGBTQIAP characters in it, although I think only the second and third books feature LGBTQIAP characters as the leads. I heard about this series very soon after I started blogging and have been able to grab all of the books in it as they’ve been offered really inexpensively on Kindle. Now I just have to actually read them…
I was able to grab the prequel to this series, Before Tomorrow, for free on Kindle and I’ve had this series on my TBR ever since. After recently reading one of Dunn’s other books, Girl on the Verge, I’m even more excited to read this series as I really enjoyed her writing. Hopefully, I can get the books soon and dive in!
I actually hadn’t heard about this series until maybe a year or so ago even though this was apparently a pretty popular series. I love dystopian books, so of course, I added this to my TBR. This really sounds like a series I’ll enjoy so I’m excited to read it.
There you have it! These are some of the series that I’ve been meaning to start for awhile now, but haven’t gotten around to yet. Like I mentioned, I could go on and on with this topic. I really hope that I’ll get a chance to read some of these soon!
